We need to set the cutting parameters of the metal laser cutter according to the heat-conducting property and emissivity of the copper we used. So it is important to know its performance well.

Last but not least, in order to guarantee the cutting quality and the smoothness of the cutting surface, we need to control the thickness of the sheet cut because great damage will be caused to the laser lens when the mental laser cutter cut the high-reflectance material such as copper. So when the thickness of copper sheet is less than 2mm, it is suitable to be cut. It is better to process sheet whose thickness is less than 1mm if using a nitrogen gas atmosphere.
